I'm not your typical politician. Before deciding to run for State Senate, I spent months traveling around the district, listening to people from Great Neck to Hicksville, and from Elmont to Port Washington.
I learned that each and every community has problems and that we all share a commitment to education, quality health care and a better future. I learned that we are all fed-up with politics as usual, partisan sniping and outright character assassination- especially when that's what we get instead of progress.

More than anything, you deserve to know who I am and what I will do if you elect me to the State Senate. First and foremost I will listen to you and will work to be a strong voice in Albany representing your concerns. As a teacher, former school board member and president, and now Mayor of a small village I have learned that to make a difference, we all need to work together. I will work for our children who deserve a quality education and for our families and seniors who struggle with the crushing burden of property taxes. I will work for those who can't afford adequate health care for themselves and their families. Above all else, I will work to be your voice in Albany.

We pay the highest taxes in the state and get little in return. I'm running for State Senate because we deserve better. It's time to take a stand and fight for the changes we need and deserve.
